The sourcing of raw materials is an important part of a sustainable awareness in the fashion industry. Thanks to long-standing business relationships with our suppliers, a mutual trust and high level of transparency has been built. This allows transparency and more control over the manufacturing process.
86% of our fabric suppliers are from Europe, 63% of them are from Italy. The other 14% are suppliers located in Asia.
Sourcing
When sourcing our fabrics, we pay special attention to quality, design and compliance with ethical
and ecological standards. To this end, we have drawn up our own Code of Conduct. This is based
on the ILO core labor standards and the UN Global Compact. A prerequisite for any supplier
wishing to enter a business relationship with van Laack is required to adhere to this Code of
Conduct. Should a violation of the Code of Conducts occur, there is a defined process of remedial
actions to resolve the violation. The business relationship will be terminated if these actions aren’t
taken.
