Fair and social working conditions at the manufacturing sites are an integral part of the company's philosophy. Our production facility is certified with one of the most highly recognized social standards SA8000®, which is dedicated to working conditions based on ILO (International Labor Organization) and United Nations (UN) conventions.

Occupational safety enjoys the highest priority at van Laack's plants. Safety and first aid training is conducted at regular intervals at the sites. Our occupational health and safety management system is characterized by ISO 45001 certification.

In addition to that the environmentally conscious and socially responsible manufacturing process in Tunisia has been awarded with the Oeko Tex Step certification. All necessary aspects of sustainable production are tested and evaluated here. van Laack Tunisie S.A. achieved Level 3 in the certification process, the highest possible level. This includes:

Training

Training and development play an essential role at van Laack. At the beginning, each employee undergoes a two-year education and training program, which leads to an officially recognized diploma as a garment technician. Both an English and a French course are included in this program. However, this is not where the support ends. In order to advance internally, continuing education programs are offered on a regular basis.

Health is the first duty in life and is taken very seriously at van Laack. For this reason, basic medical care is provided in the form of an annual check-up for all employees. Additionally, all of our personnel also has the option to consult a doctor within the factory.

A nutritionist is on hand to provide support for a balanced diet. To strengthen physical and mental health, employees stretch together twice a day.
