van Laack's CSR services are far-reaching. At the production site in Vietnam these include air conditioning for the workrooms as well as a free lunch (with a choice of two freshly prepared dishes). To promote the potential of students, internships are offered at van Laack Asia in cooperation with local universities such as Hung Yen or Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Kindergarten instead of child labor

Under the motto "Kindergarten instead of child labor", a kindergarten for small and preschoolaged children has been a firmly established part of the Vietnamese company for several years. On one hand childcare relieves the burden on employees with children, enabling them to hold a position they prefer without having to worry about the welfare of their children. On the other, it ensures that children are not exploited, but are able to fulfill their natural destiny: to be a child. A Western standard that allows minors to be children is a norm that is not equally enforced around the world. This makes it all the more important for us at van Laack to set a good example and exclude child exploitation.
